Terms of Participation:
Working teams or individuals will be considered as participants, provided none of the persons is older than 35 years of age on 09 August 2010.
Each participant may participate in only one of the three tasks, and only with one piece of work.
There are no further restrictive terms of participation.

Procedure:
The Peter Joseph Lenné Prize of the state of Berlin is a competition of ideas for garden and landscaping architecture and for the planning of open spaces and landscaping. The procedure especially aims at young landscape architects, planners, scientists, architects and artists who are in training or are employed in the above-mentioned special areas. The award is intended to support the professional development of young people and to promote new ideas and planning approaches in the design and planning of open spaces. The prize is awarded for three sections of garden and landscape architecture (A), municipal green space planning (B) and landscape planning including nature conservation (C) with one task for each. Two drafts in size DIN A 0 are required as paper printouts and one CD with the print versions of both plans as a PDF file. The focus is on the drawing presentation.
The procedure will be handled as an anonymous competition until the jury has reached a decision on an award. The contributions will be submitted in the German language, English will also be accepted.
An independent jury to be chosen by the organizer will select the best solution in each task field, which will then be awarded the Peter Joseph Lenné -Prize. Other especially good work may receive Peter Joseph Lenné merits. For work contributions of particularly high quality comprising plants, the Lenné prize procedures may award special Karl-Foerster recognition. The prize winners will be honoured in a ceremony on 15th November 2010 in the Academy of Arts, Akademie der Künste, in Berlin. A selection of work will be shown in an exhibition in Berlin. The results of the procedure as well as illustrations of the best and most interesting works will be published in the documentation of the bdla on the occasion of the 2011 prize of German Landscape Architecture (Deutscher Landschaftsarchitekturpreis).

Prize Money:
A Peter Joseph Lenné Prize in the amount of 3,850 Euro can be awarded in each of the three sections A, B und C.
